CATHOLIC CAMPUS MINISTRY (CCM) See GET INVOLVED heading on Home Page to join in with us!
Catholic Campus Ministry is an official Registered Student Organization (RSO) at the University of Arkansas, led by student leaders of St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish. CCM leaders represent and serve the Catholic students of UA. Our RSO status with the UA permits us to use the title, “Catholic Campus Ministry at the University of Arkansas”.
Student Officers of Catholic Campus Ministry (required for RSO status) lead a group of dedicated representative student leaders--the Peer Ministry Team (PMT). Officers and PMT members are faithful, prayerful Catholic students enrolled in good standing at the UA, and willing to take a leadership role in our ministries. Together, all serve in the leadership of our Catholic student faith community, helping to envision, execute, and invigorate our ministries. The team works closely with the pastor, campus ministers, and UA RSO faculty advisor to embody the six principles of campus ministry put forth by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB, https://www.usccb.org):
~ Forming the Faith Community
~ Appropriating the Faith
~ Forming the Christian Conscience
~ Educating for Justice
~ Facilitating Personal Development
~ Developing Leaders for the Future
The 2022-2023 Catholic Campus Ministry Peer Ministry Team consists of newly elected RSO Officers, and five Student Coordinators. The six Coordinators serve in the following leadership roles: Events Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Outreach Coordinator, Intramural Coordinator, and Bible Study Coordinator.
