Thanks to the generosity of faculty advisors Paul and Theresa Cronan, St. Thomas awards annual Cronan Scholarships to Catholic students at the University of Arkansas. The criteria for the award are 1) active involvement at St. Thomas, 2) financial need, and 3) academic merit. The scholarships range are disbursed each August to help offset academic costs such as tuition, fees, and books. Applications are distributed each February for the upcoming academic year.
2017-2018 Cronan Scholarship Recipients
Ariana Muñoz
"Hey guys! My name is Ariana Muñoz and I am from Rogers, Arkansas. I am a senior majoring in childhood education with hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher. I am very grateful to have been selected as a recipient for the Paul and Theresa Cronan Scholarship this year. St. Thomas has given me so much throughout my time here at the U of A such as community and support which I am forever thankful for. My favorite thing about St. Thomas is the welcoming environment it has to offer and the community events put on for students to participate in."
Julia Loshelder
"Hi, my name is Julia Loshelder and I am a sophomore from Flower Mound, TX, studying civil engineering. I’ve also recently completed my math minor. I have enjoyed being a part of the music ministry at St. Thomas this past year. Making music at Mass or Praise Unplugged is such a rewarding experience and it also provides a great break from studying."
Tori Loredo
"Hello St. Thomas! My name is Tori Loredo and I'm from St. Louis, MO. I am a current senior studying supply chain management. A fun fact about me is that I love being Catholic. It's amazing going to new places and being able to connect with others over this extraordinary faith. My favorite thing about St. Thomas is the wonderful community. St. Thomas is my home away from home and a place where you can always find a warm welcome!"
Sean Ennis
“Hey my name is Sean Ennis. I am a junior pursuing my bachelor degree in mechanical engineering. I am from Sugar Land, Tx but am a second generation hog. I love to explore Fayetteville and I enjoy acting like I play golf on the occasional weekend. My favorite part of every week is playing guitar Wednesday nights at Praise Unplugged, the best way to get through your week.”
