Each year, Catholic Campus Ministry offers both a domestic and an international mission trip. The domestic mission is in partnership with the Diocese of Little Rock and invites Catholic university students from all over the state to participate. We visit a different mission site every year, but previously we've visited Austin, Kansas City, and Appalachia. The international mission is unique to St. Thomas where we spend a week at Neuestros Pequeños Hermanos in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. We serve both on site and in the surrounding communities in need.
St Thomas Summer 2023 Service Mission Trip Dominican Republic
St. Thomas will once again be hosting a service trip to the Dominican Republic May 21 - May 27, 2023. Fr. Jason Sharbaugh and Adam Koehler will lead a group of 10 students to San Pedro de Macoris to serve the residents of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) through manual labor and sharing community. The trip will also focus on prayer and solidarity with the poor. We invite you to take this application to consider if you’d like to spend a week of your summer serving the NPH community in the Dominican Republic.
Applications will be reviewed once received to determine the ten students that will be serving this summer. The group will be made up of students involved in various aspects of Catholic Campus Ministry at St. Thomas. The hope is to build a mission leadership team that can share their experiences with students and to help grow relationships for future missions. See below cost and travel requirements. Please contact Adam Koehler by email, [email protected], or phone (479) 444-0223 for any questions or concerns.
